A question arose as I was listening to the sound track from "A Field of Dreams" - where is Janell? And a multitude of pictures emerged in my mind's eye:
Sitting on our love seat in the family room, working on cross stitch or reading a trashy novel, or heaven forbid - completing school budgets or teacher evaluations
Working in her scrapbook workshop, with an array of stamps, colored paper, designs, all in an organized mess
Walking on the beach at Clear Water, picking up just the perfect shells
Lounging on the deck at her sister's home by the lake, laughing at the antics of the little ones splashing in the water
Dancing with me at Keeli's wedding, looking simply gorgeous
Plotting with Sarah over a game of Trivial Pursuit, losing the competition to Bill and me
Stirring a huge pot of clam chowder in our kitchen at Christmas Eve, surrounded by family
Standing on the deck outside our suite in Zermatt, Switzerland, sipping a cup of tea and gazing at the Matterhorn in all it majesty
Playing Candy Land with the grand kids and not letting them win
She is in all of these places and more - the images of her are etched in my mind's eye and her love is forever imprinted in my heart.
For me Mike, she is in every scrapbook page I make.I still cannot go to Okoboji to the scrapbooking retreat! Though my friends encourage me, I am not ready.
